As the usual stage for the Festival de Música de Canarias, the Symphonic Hall has held famous orchestras such as the Wiener Philarmonie, Royal Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, Boston Philarmonie, Philadelphia Philarmonie and New York Philarmonie. Kleiber, Maazel, Metha, Brendel or Von Otter are just examples of the high quality conductors and soloists who have been on the stage of this hall.
The season´s concerts by the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria or the concerts organised by the Sociedad Filarmónica de Las Palmas or by the Festival Internacional de Guitarra are also to be enjoyed in this hall.
Among the numerous cultural events held in the Symphonic Hall annually, the Festival de Jazz and the Festival Internacional de Cine, organised by the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria are worth to be underlined.
The musical programme by the Fundación Auditorio de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is aimed at fulfilling an existing gap in the concert organisation of other types of music. That is why concerts on pop, song-writers, jazz and ethnic music are included in the own concert programme by the Fundación Auditorio L.P.G.C. Garfunkel, Paco de Lucía, Serrat and Pat Metheny are just some examples of the style variety of our guest artists.
