JAZZ, BOSSA NOVA, SOUL, ROCK AND FLAMENCO IN THE VII ARRECIFE DE LAS MÚSICAS

The VII edition of ‘Reef of Music’ (Arrecife de las Músicas) brings to Alfredo Kraus Auditorium a selection of the extraordinary musical diversity of the moment. Sounds of jazz, bossa nova, soul, rock and flamenco will take part in the new edition of this festival, which aims to consolidate the Gran Canarian capital city as a meeting point for the exchange of ideas about different music styles.

Performances of Hank Jones, Toquinho and María Creuza, Sarah Jane Morris, Steve Hackett (ex guitarist of Genesis) and Argentina make up this VII edition to be celebrated from June 12th to 20th.

As in the past years, besides the concerts, there will be two round tables (free admission) on June 18th and 19th at 19:30 h in Lanzarote Hall, where music and news will be the main theme. They are: Los 70 y la antesala del "hazlo tú mismo” (The 70’s and the prelude to “do it yourself”) and España y la revolución de los 70 (Spain and revolution of the 70’s). They will be conducted by journalist and poetry seminar principal, Silvia Grijalba. In those events special guests and artist will be invited.

The Foundation of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Auditorium has taken once more its commitment with richness and plurality of popular music with the celebration of this new edition of Reef of Music, which is produced by DD&Company Producciones, and it’s considered as a multicultural festival. It’s sponsored by Compañía Cervecera de Canarias (CCC) and the collaboration of Sociedad de Promoción de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Canary Government.

The Alfredo Kraus Auditorium’s ticket office is selling the season and individual tickets for the concerts of the VII Arrecife de las Músicas: Hank Jones, Toquinho and María Creuza, Sarah Jane Morris, Steve Hackett and Argentina.

The season tickets will only be available at the ticket office of the auditorium from May 12th to June 5th. It will allow spectators to attend to some of the concerts. The first season ticket (€55) includes the concerts of: Hank Jones, Sarah Jane Morris and Toquinho & María Creuza; the second one includes: Steve Hackett, Argentina and Toquinho & María Creuza, also for €55.
